I think there should be some recognition of The Very Best on Oakland Blackouts here. I've been listening to a lot of African jazz, (Fela Kuti, City Boys Band, etc) and it's been a marriage of two of the most underrated, captivating, and overall lovely genres of music I've experienced in a while. The Very Best combines that air of African jazz with new electronic come-up music, as well as a little flair of their own. I mean, Theophilus London and Ezra Koenig on "Warm Heart of Africa" remix? How did you even think of that?? So innovative. Check it out.
